On February 22nd, Binghamton proudly unveiled a breathtaking 150-tile mural at Ross Park, commemorating its 150th anniversary. This impressive large-format printed mural serves as both a celebration of the park’s rich history and a testament to the power of community collaboration, brought to life through expert signage production and installation.
The project began in December, inviting community members to take part by painting individual tiles that would ultimately be combined into a larger, seamless mural design. Participants followed a designated color scheme, allowing their unique contributions to blend into a vibrant and unified artwork.
The artwork was professionally reproduced onto high-quality, large-format printed panels, ensuring a polished and uniform presentation. Our large-format printing team in Binghamton handled the meticulous production process, carefully transferring the community’s artwork onto durable printed panels. High-quality print reproduction and precision output were used to ensure every element of the original artwork was accurately represented on a grand scale.
Once the panels were printed, the installation was entrusted to our skilled signage installation team at JAX, who carefully positioned and secured the panels to create a seamless, professional display. Their expertise in large-scale mural installation ensured a smooth and durable finish, allowing the mural to become a permanent, visually striking feature within Ross Park.
This mural was created as part of Mural Mosaic’s Global Roots Project, an initiative that fosters creativity and connection through large-scale public art. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the Ross Park mural stands as a symbol of community engagement and collaboration, uniting individuals through a shared artistic vision.
By combining large-format digital printing, professional signage fabrication, and expert mural installation, this project demonstrates the incredible impact of public art when paired with modern printing technology. As a lasting addition to Ross Park, the mural not only honors its 150-year legacy but also showcases the power of creative teamwork in transforming public spaces.
